We began with a simple frustration: fragrances that opened beautifully and were gone by lunch. So we started from the other end. Higher concentrations, fewer notes, and a bottle you would be happy to leave on display.
Every A’OR fragrance is built around a single accord and finished at extrait or eau de parfum strength. We would rather make seven fragrances well than seventy fragrances quickly.
The name says it in French: à l’or, in gold. It is our shorthand for the standard we hold every bottle to.

Higher oil concentrations mean a longer wear, a softer sillage and fewer sprays to fill a room.
Honest
Notes are listed the way we composed them. Nothing is described as more rare than it is.
Considered
Weighty glass, gold-foil boxes and a card in every parcel, because the unboxing is part of the fragrance.
From formula to bottle
Compose
Our perfumers build each fragrance around one accord, then refine it over many trials.
Mature
The concentrate rests for weeks so the oils and alcohol settle into a single, stable blend.
Bottle
Small batches are filtered, filled and sealed by hand, and each bottle is batch-numbered.
Finish
Every parcel is gift-wrapped and inspected before it leaves us.
